Oxford University Exploration Club (OUEC) exists to help improve knowledge of our world by inspiring and supporting exploration by members of Oxford University.

Club activities:
1. Weekly seminar series

Our weekly talks bring in speakers that have been on a huge variety of expeditions both close to home and in far flung places around the world. Come along to these to learn about what great things people have done, talk to the speakers about all things exploration and get psyched for your own expeditions.  Please see the events page for more info.

2. Advice and support planning expeditions

If you have an idea for an expedition and want help planning, we can offer advice. To get university approval and grants, send us an email and we can point you in the right direction. The deadline is Wednesday of 6th week, Michaelmas term.  Our expeditions page has more info.

3. Weekly pub socials

Come along to the Lamb and Flag pub after the weekly talks to share ideas and stories, get advice and plan your own expedition whether it’s a trip to the antarctic or a weekend microadventure close to home.

4. Putting members in touch with other outdoors clubs

OUECers are not only found in weekly talks in a lecture theatre; they are out there doing awesome stuff! So we give you info about all the other uni clubs you might be interested in such as kayaking, mountaineering, sailing, climbing, caving, photography and courses such as first aid. See the associated clubs page for more info.
